Also known as the “Garden University”, East China Normal University has one of the most beautiful and modern campuses in China.  The campus itself is secure and access is gained only through three guarded gates.  ECNU facilities are typical of a modern world-class university and the campus is located in a safe residential area close to the center of Shanghai and public transportation links.  Most major landmarks can be reached within 30 minutes. 

Students in our program will stay in an on-campus dormitory specially built for overseas visiting scholars and teaching staff.  Each of the students will share a double-room with another student or stay in a single room sharing a suite with three other students.  Each room or suite is equipped with hotel-standard amenities, including carpet, individually controlled air-conditioning, international direct dial telephone, remote control color TV, and a bathroom with hot and cold water and shower.

During free periods, students will have access to on-campus reading and computer rooms, internet workstations, libraries, and outdoor sports fields.

For excursions, students will stay at three-star hotels and, for those who choose to have a homestay experience in Suzhou, at the homes of local high school students.
